Matchmaster dies are the pinnacle of reloading dies with rich features, outstanding fit and finish, and unbeatable accuracy.
Available in both full-length size and neck-size sets, as well as a stand-alone seater die, you will enjoy years of use from Matchmaster dies. Each die is made from case hardened steel, the inside surfaces are precision-drilled and reamed to exacting standards, and hand polished.
This changeable diameter neck bushing has been used by benchrest and long-range precision shooters for years. This allows you to change the self-centering changeable neck bushing to precisely set the amount of tension on the bullet. It also keeps the brass working to a minimum to extend the life of your cases.
Matchmaster seater die is beautifully machined, polished, and finished off with a deep blued finish like on the finest firearms. The large, oversized adjustment knob on the Matchmaster seater die has oversized letters and hash marks making it both precise to turn as well as easy to read. Dial one thousandth of an inch, and that is exactly what you will get.
The seater also features our exclusive loading window which allows you to drop the bullet in and simply run the press to seat your bullet. No more trying to balance a bullet on a case mouth or putting fingers in danger. The internal sleeve catches and holds the bullet in perfect alignment with the case and guides it during the seating operation for astoundingly concentric results.

FAQ
Do I need a bushing to use these dies? What does bushing sizing do?
- Yes, you need a bushing to use this MatchMaster sizing die. Bushing sizing dies resize your case while allowing you to precisely control neck tension via different diameters of interchangeable neck bushings. (compared to a fixed-diameter expander ball as you’d find in non-bushing sizing dies).
What size bushing do I need?
- Proper neck bushing size can be determined two ways. Measure the outside neck diameter of the loaded cartridge, subtract .002" to .003". This allows approximately .001" of brass to spring back for correct neck tension. The other way is to measure the neck wall thickness of the case, multiply by two, add the diameter of the bullet and subtract .001". RCBS suggests reloaders have neck bushings one to two sizes above and below their target diameter.
I don't want to use a bushing sizer die. What other MatchMaster Dies are available?
- You can buy RCBS MatchMaster bullet seating dies on their own. Or, you can buy the MatchMaster Duo series, which pairs a MatchMaster seater with a standard, full length (non-bushing) sizing die.
What's the difference between full-length sizing, neck sizing, and small-base sizing dies?
- Full Length Sizing Dies: Resize the entire case to SAAMI minimum dimensions; best for reliability, semi autos, or brass used in multiple rifles.
- Neck Sizing Dies: Resize only the neck; reduces the chances of case head separation and can improve accuracy in bolt action rifles fired in the same chamber.
- Small Base Dies: Resize slightly more than standard full length sizing dies; ideal for semi autos or tight chambers where feeding reliability matters most.
