The RCBS Small Base Sizer Die is specifically designed for reloading bottleneck cases that will be used in tight-chambering semi-automatic, pump, or lever-action firearms.
The Small Base Sizer Die works by resizing the case below SAAMI minimums, which reduces the shoulder and body of the case by a few thousandths of an inch. This helps to ensure proper feeding and chambering in tight-chambering firearms, which can be critical to reliable performance in these types of firearms.
In addition to resizing the case, the Small Base Sizer Die also de-primes it, removing the spent primer from the casing. This is an essential step in the reloading process, as it prepares the case for the next stage of the reloading process.
Note: Not recommended for ammunition used in bolt-action rifles.
